JOB DESCRIPTION:
Seeking an upbeat, organized, and responsible Executive Assistant Office Manager to enable our workplace to be a productive, energetic, and enjoyable place to work.  The role requires anticipating issues and addressing them in advance.  This is a fantastic opportunity to take make an impact, wear many hats, and be a part of an exciting growing biotech company.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage executive agendas
  • Act as a resource for all Inflammatix staff in coordinating on-site and off-site meetings
  • Coordinate recruiting efforts including scheduling interviews and handing related expenses
  • Arrange travel for Inflammatix staff and guests
  • Welcome guests and inquiries in person, over the phone, and via email
  • Proactively manage facilities, including on-site projects, office supplies and shipping/receiving
  • Enter invoices and payments, and support accounting-related projects as necessary
  • Identify and manage external office vendors and service providers

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 5 years’ work experience with at least 3 years as an EA or office manager
  • Eagerness to take on special and varied projects
  • Experience in a multi-faceted support role in a fast-paced environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Fluency with standard software (e.g. Word, Excel) and communication tools (e.g. email, webinars)
  • Organized, detail-oriented, comfortable with multitasking
  • Professional and pleasant verbal and written communicator
  • Willingness to proactively identify and fix problems
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll management a plus
  • Furnishing offices and managing light construction projects a plus too

JOB DESCRIPTION: Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to design and develop our software workflow for analyzing genomic data. The workflow uses a combination of public and proprietary machine learning algorithms to diagnose infectious diseases. The position will have a major public health impact: you will see your in silico work translated to a clinical product. This is a fantastic opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a rapidly growing biotech startup, and as an early employee, part of the job will be strategic input on significant aspects of the product development.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Architect, develop and maintain distributed machine learning software for analyzing genomic data
  • Design, develop and maintain regression testing framework
  • Manage software releases

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS degree in computer science, software engineering, applied math or related field
  • 5+ years server-side software engineering experience in high-tech industry
  • Demonstrated proficiency in python programming
  • Experience designing and developing distributed enterprise-grade software on AWS
  • Experience with Hadoop and/or Spark
  • Experience with TensorFlow and deep learning
  • Experience developing and deploying software on Linux operating system

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Background in machine learning and statistics is a plus
  • Experience in biotech industry is a plus
  • Experience programming in R, or willingness to learn fast

  • Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills; organized and efficient.
  • Proven interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills; excellent time management skills.
