Inflammatix, Inc. is a mission-driven, venture-backed diagnostics company bringing the power of precision medicine to the point of care. We are building novel tests that are based on our expertise in reading the immune system (host response) to address major health challenges. Our tests combine rapid detection of host mRNAs with advanced bioinformatics techniques. Our first products, the HostDx™ Sepsis and HostDx™ Fever tests, focus on enabling physicians to better diagnose acute infections and sepsis. These tests will be performed on our point- of-care platform instrument currently under development, intended for both US FDA and CE Mark clearance.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Director of Marketing Communications

We are seeking a mission-driven, motivated communications expert to join our Commercial team. This is an opportunity to set the course for communications as we prepare for commercialization. The successful candidate will apply a deep understanding of marketing to clinical stakeholders globally combined with experience educating them on new, disruptive technology.


  • In collaboration with Commercial and Medical Affairs leadership, contribute to message development in support of strategic marketing
  • Lead content development for key stakeholders – clinicians, laboratory staff, payers and
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications plan, including medical
  • Manage all marketing endeavors including campaigns and activities; establish and track relevant
  • Lead conference planning and
  • Drive online, social, video and other electronic media strategy and
  • Manage relationships with partners and vendors, ensuring reinforcing of corporate branding and
  • Define project success metrics and measuring return-on-investment (ROI).
  • Support Head of Product Management with strategic initiatives and projects as


  • 6+ years’ diagnostics or medical device marketing, including launch experience, preferably focused on selling to hospitals and/or
  • Bachelor’s degree with relevant advanced degree a plus
  • Experienced in vendor management
  • Experienced with successfully leading cross-functional teams
  • Start-up experience preferred

  • Excellent project management skills and driving to deadlines
  • Ability to verbally and in writing communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and externally
  • Passion for clinical marketing and medical education
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, startup environment, willing to pitch in wherever needed
  • Able to travel 20% of the time
