We are seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to facilitate cross-functional internal teams to develop and commercialize our HostDx tests for acute infections and sepsis.  This is a fantastic opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a growing biotech startup applying cutting-edge advanced bioinformatics and laboratory methods to solve major unmet medical needs.

Duties/Expectations of Role

  • Measure and report performance and progress of all projects in the portfolio using appropriate tools and techniques.  Identify and quantify any variances, perform any required corrective actions, and communicate to all stakeholders
  • Delivering approved projects within agreed timescales and budgets
  • Taking ownership of assigned projects, ensuring stakeholder buy-in at all levels within the organization and with partners
  • Support a team to define, implement, and maintain organization-wide project and resource management tools allowing for effective and efficient project and resource management activities
  • Ensure that project tools and deliverables work within Quality Management System
  • Provide project and resource management performance reports in accordance with any applicable communication plan, supporting executive decision making
  • Monitor resource demand using appropriate and available tools.  Recommend and facilitate the sharing of resources among their constituent projects to the overall benefit of the organization
  • Facilitate stakeholder management by communicating all relevant information including decisions and prioritizations to the stakeholders including executive management thus ensuring organizational alignment.
  • Report on Key Performance Indicators and evaluate for appropriate action
  • Create and maintain project templates including resource estimates to accurately capture and forecast resource requirements and project delivery dates
  • Ensure implementation of standardized governance across all projects

 Mandatory Requirements

  • Educated to degree level
  • Extensive project management experience with formal project management training (preferred)
  • Experience of managing In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) projects from development to clearance stages
  • Strong interpersonal skills, coupled with attention to detail, and analytical skills
  • Experience managing projects that have received government grants preferred
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
  • Solid change management experience and successfully delivered projects in global organizations

Term and Start

  • Immediate Start
  • 30-40 hours per week consulting engagement
  • Contract to hire possible
  • Must be on-site at Inflammatix’s Burlingame, California office at least 3 days per week
