Inflammatix, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Principal Scientist to lead and drive key aspects of our mission to develop our molecular in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) assay and device.We are developing instrumentation, consumables, and assays for HostDx tests. This role is laboratory-based and requires exceptional attention to detail for the meticulous execution and analysis of complex quantitative molecular experiments. The role’s primary focus will be development of automated RNA extraction methods for use with gene expression studies using state of the art technologies.   The Principal Scientist reports to the Vice President of Product Development This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in early stage development of a growing biotech company.


  • Plan, execute, analyze, and document mission critical projects independently
  • Contribute to scientific strategy of product development
  • Drive implementation and support DOE approach in R&D
  • Support implementation of a QMS and certification


  • Ph.D. in Molecular Biology or related field with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on industrial experience in R&D, MS in Molecular Biology or related field with a minimum of 15 years of hands-on industrial experience in R&D
  • Proven track record of being associated with successful product launches in the Life Sciences and/or Diagnostics
  • Experienced in Design of Experiments (DOE) and working under a Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, good organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • In-depth knowledge of a broad range of molecular biology techniques such as various PCR techniques, NGS, library preparation, hybridization technologies, nucleic acid isolation and manipulation
